One-Session Three-Hour Pottery Class for Two

For this 3-hour Hand Building Workshop, you’ll be given clay to explore, experiment and create with! Throughout the workshop you will be shown techniques you can choose to use to create a personalized work.

With the clay you’re given, you can choose to make one object or two small objects with no additional charge beyond the cost of the workshop.

If you would like to create more pieces than the clay that is supplied – you completely can! These pieces are subject to additional charges to accommodate for the use of glaze materials and the labor of love from our team to get your work finished properly.

What does class look like?

When you arrive we get everyone situated and ready to get started. Feel free to come early and grab a cup of coffee or tea from our amazing barista on duty.

The instructor will do a demo to get things started.

After the demo – its your turn to create! Get your hands messy and feel free to ask the instructor questions as you go so you learn and get to make things that last.

We do a clear glaze on every pot.

We work together at the end of class to clean up.

Your work will be ready in 6 weeks to be picked up (Extra thick pieces will take longer because they need to be completely dry before we can put them in the kiln.)

Hand Building classes are great for those who have a challenging schedule but still want to try pottery! This hand-building class is one day only – 3 hours long.

Due to the nature of the process there is no guarantee that work will make it through the firings. It’s in the hands of the kiln gods.
