Today’s side deal offers an opportunity to experience music without embedding an iPod into your temporal lobe. For $5, you get one concert ticket to see Simplified perform on Saturday, May 29, at 8 p.m. at Queen's Landing in Mooresville. The concert will commence rain or shine at the Melanie L. Williams Amphitheater. Doors open at 7 p.m.
With an affinity for southern pop rock, Simplified aims to rock the faces off its listeners with a tag-team attack of electric guitar-driven jams and emotive acoustic ballads. Fans who see their performance will experience sweet-sounding tunes and sweat-propelled rocking in a charming, 2,000-person-capacity amphitheater. If you want to make a day of it, the surrounding Queen's Landing grounds offer a bevy of entertainment options, including mini golf, dinner cruises, sightseeing cruises, and a lakeside grill.
Reviews
TripAdvisors give Queen's Landing 3.5 stars, and Insider Pagers give four:
- If you have a boat this is the place to be. They have great employees, boat landing, games for the kids and boat rentals. We go every weekend. – Jennifer B., Insider Pages
- There are bumper boats (very refreshing on a hot day), a really cool miniature golf course with a section that fires up every once in a while (you can actually feel the heat while you're on the course), a restaurant and gift shop that are really nice, and of course, the actual landing on the lake. It's probably a lot more fun if you can get an actual boat, go on a dinner cruise - but even if you don't have time for that, it's a great place to relax and watch and feed the fish and friendly, social ducks! – Daria Z., Insider Pages
- I absolutley [sic] love Jokers the dueling piano bar at Queens Landing! I just went for the first time last weekend and it definetely won't be the last. The comedians are hilarious and the staff are so friendly. – TheFunOne, TripAdvisor
