Early Childhood Music the Whole Family Will Love

A longtime New York Family Favorite, Ramblin' Dan’s Freewheelin’ Band provides high energy and engaging music classes driven by playful musicality and skillful guitar work. Our priorities are having fun, providing a pressure-free and comforting atmosphere, and helping kids gain confidence.

At a Ramblin’ Dan music class, you'll hear everything from Rock ‘n’ Roll, Reggae, Funk, Hip Hop, Folk and Bluegrass. The music pulls from pop hits old and new, fun versions of well known kids' songs and Ramblin' Dan's original kids' music. Using music to lead the way, your bandleader will help your kids jam along on instruments, use various props for activities, read song-based books, learn sign language, do animal and imaginative play, and of course clap, dance and sing along.

The basics

These are group music classes for Children 0 - 3 years old. Most classes have between 8-15 kids in them Children will get various instruments handed out to them throughout class and also use other props like parachutes, scarves, puppets etc.

You do not need to bring anything!

However we do recommend you bring a small blanket for your child if they are an infant and not sitting up on their own yet, so they can roll around on the floor and do tummy time.

Classes are 45 minutes long and meant for children to take With their accompanying adult/parent/caregiver/nanny (no drop offs) if possible arrive 5 minutes early to help you and your child settle into the new space (having a few minutes to adjust to a new space can make a huge difference for your child having a good class)

But don't worry if you have to arrive late!!

Age range of our students

Our general age range for our classes is 0-36 months Some classes are more specifically for babies and toddlers. Most of our students in general are 0-30 months. If you have two children of different ages then these are great classes for them to do together! We allow older siblings up to 4 years to register as well with a younger siblings (2 bookings are needed for this) If you have a child under 5 months, they are free to tag along if making a separate booking for an older sibling.

Single class Price for us is generally 40 dollars or so in NYC, Brooklyn, Westchester So whatever feels like a good discount for you is fine with me to get things started

Summer Semester runs july 8- August 23rd 7 weeks and that semester price would be about 245-260 depending on the location (again I'm open to your suggestions on the groupon discount)
