The place to sit on a gorgeous day is outside on the deck, especially at sunset when the panoramas are spectacular. Furthermore, the deck is misted, so even when the temperatures rise, guests dining al fresco remain comfy and cool. Javelina's legendary Margaritas are yet another excellent way to beat the heat, which could be why you'll find such a congenial crowd chilling out around the bar while taking in the panorama through floor-to-ceiling glass. Food-wise, the menu runs the gamut. Just want to nosh over drinks? Great idea, because the Nachos Grande, Chile Con Queso and Jalapeno Poppers are ideal munchies to share with confreres while downing a few drafts. For larger appetites, however, we suggest such house specialties as Fajitas (chicken, steak, tilapia, shrimp, veggie) or one of the South of the Border Combos, which allow guests to mix and match Tacos, Burritos, Tamales, Tacos, Enchiladas, Rellenos and more. Soups and Sandwiches are also part of the lineup, but you really owe it to yourself to try one of the Chef's Specials. They include creative options like Grilled Shrimp Tacos, Salmon Tostada, and Red or Green Pork Carnitas, and they're absolutely DEELISH!
