Many families with children being treated for serious illnesses must travel long distances to the hospital because they cannot afford to stay nearby. Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (ARMHC) allows families to stay close together and focus on the recovery of sick children by offering subsidized housing and support at locations that are close to children’s-critical-care centers.
With two Atlanta locations, Ronald McDonald House Charities serves as a haven for around 2,000 families a year, providing parents and siblings with a total of 61 bedrooms near the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta hospitals at Egleston and Scottish Rite. Since they must also juggle the costs of medical bills and expensive drugs, more than half of its guests are unable to pay the subsidized cost of $20 per night to stay at Ronald McDonald House. Through its Adopt-A-Family Program, the ARMHC covers the cost of stays for families who cannot afford to pay, enabling the organization to accommodate any family regardless of its financial situation.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help cover accommodations for a family with a child being treated for a serious illness. If G-Team members raise $560, one family can stay at Ronald McDonald House for four weeks. Each additional $20 raised will cover another night’s stay for one family.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
