At the behest of a black obelisk, the first rocker banged two stones together and hooted. Participate in this historic ritual with today's Groupon: for $40, kids ages 7 to 18 get one month of rockstruction at the School of Rock (a $200 value). This Groupon must be redeemed before January 1, 2011, and is good at the following School of Rock locations: Philadelphia, Doylestown, and Princeton in Hamilton, NJ.
A month at the School of Rock consists of four consecutive weekly 30-minute private lessons and four consecutive weekly one-hour group jam sessions. Soon-to-be guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocal heroes will use professional-quality instruments and equipment to learn to croon, lay down killer bass lines, and discover David Lee Roth's pole-vaulting theatrics. Students will study the tricks of the wall-shaking trade with School of Rock owner and creative director Mike Morpurgo, a professional rocker and long-time friend of School of Rock founder Paul Green, as well as the entire down-to-earth, guitar-shredding staff. Enrollment is rolling and based on seasons, with each season ending in a student-designed rockstravaganza of immortal proportions. Past student performances have included Pink Floyd's The Wall, AC/DC, British Invasion, and Radiohead.
This deal is valid for new students only.
