What You'll Get
Well-rounded golfers must master a variety of skills, including driving, reverse-putting, and suppressing the part of the brain that associates high scores with victory. Chip away at preconceived notions with today’s Groupon: for $45, you get a golf-instruction package (a $90 total value) at South Riding Golf Club. The package includes:
- A 30-minute golf lesson with an assistant golf professional (a $40 value).
- Two large buckets of driving-range balls (a $20 value).
- A box of 12 Titleist DT Solo golf balls (a $30 value).<p>
South Riding Golf Club’s staff of resident aces imparts golf wisdom to greenhorns in lessons conducted at the emerald meadows of the club’s pristine practice facilities. During 30-minute lessons, one of the club’s assistant pros begins to tame the wild corkscrew motions of client swings, slowly morphing them into smooth, consistent pendulums. The grass-tee driving range, short-game area, practice bunker, and putting green allow players to use lessons to nurture their relationship with their putter, wedges, irons, woods, or oversize soup ladles. Two large buckets of driving-range balls help linksmen commit newly learned concepts to muscle memory in independent range sessions, where grass hitting areas emulate on-course surfaces. Duffers depart with a box of 12 Titleist DT Solo golf balls, which are designed to add distance to drives for players with moderate swing speeds and limited capacity to manipulate gravity.
Please note that grass practice surfaces are only available when weather and condition permit, though South Riding Golf Club has synthetic surfaces for practice and grass tee instruction areas.
Our customers loved this deal last year, earning South Riding Golf Club a spot on Groupon’s Best of 2011 list.

About South Riding Golf Club
Sculpted into the rolling hills of Northern Virginia and designed by prolific course architect Dan Maples, South Riding Golf Club’s course plots a challenging path through mature timbers and glassy waters. A fleet of golf carts helps players navigate the 7,148-yard chain of fairways by giving them the distance to upcoming hazards, greens, and blitzing linebackers emerging from the rough. Streams and ponds ripple throughout the course, including on the par-3 14th hole, where golfers are faced with a forced carry over a pond situated between tee and green. The club’s grass-tee driving range, short-game area, practice bunker, and putting green allow players to nurture their relationship with their putter, wedges, irons, woods, or modified soup ladles. When not conquering the course, duffers can take advantage of South Riding's modern clubhouse, fully stocked pro shop, and staff of golf instructors.
