Groups of eight to ten students use the provided tools and ingredients to bake a batch of cupcakes or decorate a 6-inch cake. After honing their baking skills, cupcake makers decorate a ready-made batch. Cake decorators learn skills such as colouring fondant, frosting with buttercream, and making flowers, ribbons, or busts of favourite prime ministers out of fondant. Students should bring their own apron, notebook, and pen, and can take home their cake or six personalized cupcakes (along with the cupcake recipe).
