About TAC Self-Defense

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Very few martial arts cover weapons, and when they do, it is unrealistic. If you want to be able to defend yourself against an armed assailant, you need to be able to do so safely and effectively. This system is designed to be logic based and legally defensible. Learn to use a legal pocket knife.

What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Real self-defense does not need to be overly complicated with a large learning curve. A good self-defense system is designed so anyone can learn and use it safely and effectively, quickly. Everyone has an automatic startle response to an attack, so it is all about educating that startle response.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
This world is becoming a violent place. Criminals continue to grow more and more bold. I want to make sure good law abiding citizens know how to defend themselves against these criminals. I want to even the playing field. If my instruction saves even one life, I will feel accomplished.

What do you love most about your job?
I love what I do. I get great satisfaction in seeing the "light bulb" click when a student understands. I like teaching people how to better defend themselves in a real life encounter. I know that when that bad encounter happens, they will be far more prepared for it.
