If the cruel temptations of the Play-Doh Fun Factory taught the world anything, it’s that mouthwatering creations are more gratifying when they’re actually edible. Swoop spoon-first into a scoop of frozen eats with today’s Groupon: for $6, you get $12 worth of chilly treats at Tasti D-Lite in Park Slope.
At Tasti D-Lite, patrons can sample a bevy of tasty treats that serve as a healthier alternative to ice cream. Serving health-conscious customers since 1987, Tasti D-Lite offers creamy concoctions that are lower in fat, calories, sugar, carbs, and voodoo spells than ice cream; treats also contain fewer calories than most brands of frozen yogurt while remaining much lower in sugar and burnt curly-fries content. Tasti is crafted from natural ingredients that include real dairy and no artificial sweeteners. Visitors will be able to enjoy more than 100 delectable flavors, such as brownie batter, green tea, rice pudding, peanut butter ‘n’ jelly, and strawberry cheesecake, as well as a variety of smoothies, shakes, sundaes, and cones. Most flavors contain 80 calories or less per 4-fluid-ounce serving, allowing customers to shape up and finally fit into old space suits from the Starfleet Academy. Cups are $3 for a small, $3.75 for a medium, and $4.25 for a large.
Healthy and flavorful frozen desserts don’t have to entail cramming multivitamins into frozen sticks of margarine. At Tasti D-Lite, visitors can sample a wide variety of treats without packing on mounds of calories like a bear hibernating in a cheese-puff factory.

About Tasti D-Lite
Like many children, the founder of Tasti D-Lite, a native New Yorker, begged her father for a taste of ice cream. But this was no typical whining for a treat: she needed her father, an experienced food technologist, to help develop a frozen treat with less calories and fat than ice cream and frozen yogurt. Thus, in 1987, the first cup of Tasti D-Lite swirled into existence. After a huge boon in New York, the company now boasts locations in more than a dozen states. From the shining root-beer oceans to the marzipan mountains, Americans now enjoy flavors such as carrot cake, chocolate nougat, or mango tart n’ Tasti, topping each treat with bits of candy and fresh fruit.
