Juan’s wellness journey began in an unexpected and life-altering way: a collision with a pickup truck while cycling in 2010. Left with screws and plates in his hip and ankle, his recovery led him to yoga classes that helped him regain flexibility and alleviate pain. Inspired by the transformative effects, Juan became a certified yoga instructor in 2015. During his training, a guest instructor introduced him to Thai bodywork, sparking his fascination with its potential to improve mobility and relieve tension.
Determined to master this art, Juan trained at the Thai Bodywork School of Thai Massage (now Coaching the Body Institute) in Evanston, IL, earning certification as a Thai Bodywork Practitioner in 2016. His passion for holistic healing didn’t stop there. In 2021, he expanded his skills through SOHMAR’s massage certification program, adding traditional table massage techniques to his repertoire. Now a Licensed Massage Therapist, Juan blends modern trigger point therapy with traditional Thai techniques, offering deep, functional bodywork that enhances mobility, relieves tension, and provides profound relaxation.
