What You'll Get
Without actors, prisoners would have to be released from jail to play themselves in made-for-TV movies. Keep the streets safe with today’s Groupon: for $99, you get three months of performance-arts classes at Atlantic Arts Academy in Jupiter (a $240 value). Classes begin the week of August 15, and it is recommended students enroll at the start of the session. Atlantic Arts directors place students in classes appropriate to their skill level. Click here for more information on enrollment.
Atlantic Arts Academy's professional instructors nurture fledgling artists' talents by imparting knowledge gained from real-world experience. A number of classes in music, dance, improv, and theater welcome students to discover a new passion, entertain commuters stuck in traffic, or bolster their professional performance skills. Students choose one discipline to study over the course of three months. Budding entertainers can polish their windpipes in Intro to Voice, or learn to communicate with coworkers via stylish foot clicks in the Tap 1 class, or learn to think on their feet no matter the situation with improv lessons. Each class meets once a week for one hour, though participants can upgrade to 90-minute classes for an additional $30 per month (not included in today's Groupon). Check the schedule for dates, classes, and times.
Frank Licari, Atlantic Arts Academy's director and owner, enjoys sharing his love for the arts with the public as much as he does his students. Along with running the day-to-day operations of the academy and turning his takeout orders into musical numbers, Frank is slated to assist in directing a new original Broadway production titled Greenwood: The Musical.

About Borland Center
Named in honor of golf-course designer Bruce Borland, who died in a plane accident in 1999, the Borland Center swings open its doors to the community by focusing on family values. Concerts, plays, and recitals are just a few of the events that coax guests into the venue's 10,000 square feet of space, which harbors a 500-seat theater and a multipurpose ballroom that doubles as an indoor practice field for local cribbage teams on rainy days.
