For this “Mud & Merlot” basic wheel-throwing class, students create a vase, cup, or bowl over the course of multiple visits. On their first visit, they create their piece. Then, they come back to glaze their piece. (There is no additional charge for glazing.) Finally, they return a third time to pick up their completed piece. Students should dress in casual clothes that can stand to get a bit messy. This is an active art studio and gallery with sharp and breakable items and equipment. Students should use caution when handling equipment and sharp objects.

The ClayGround Studio and Gallery is dedicated to providing a positive experience in a fun, nurturing environment for artists of all levels. The staff achieves this by offering studio time to aspiring artists, allowing local artists to show and sell their art in a gallery space, promoting art via exhibits, demonstrations, and expositions, and offering standard courses along with specialized one-on-one project-based classes. Skilled instructors teach a variety of classes, giving hands-on guidance in wheel throwing, hand-building pottery, mosaics, and fusing glass.
