About The Corner Studio

Nicole Dessoye spent much of her professional career as a dancer, discovering Pilates as a way to help her body recover from injuries and continue working at peak performance. Her studies of the discipline empowered her to take charge of her own well-being. She discovered a sense of personal responsibility about her health, a feeling she realized that many had not yet discovered. She co-founded The Corner Studio to share fitness, motivation, and the inspiration to care for oneself with as many students as possible.

She and her alliance of 10 other instructors teach multiple forms of Pilates, from the classic matwork to advanced exercises that make use of the many machines that Joseph Pilates invented. They improve range of motion and joint health with Gyrotonic classes, an exercise method based on circular, three-dimensional movements. For full-body strength and endurance conditioning, they turn to G.I.T. Fit circuit training, which blends modern implements such as kettlebells and TRX suspension harnesses with more ancient methods, including jump roping and fossil lifting.
