Empty hand is a family run karate studio. The training is excellent - my two sons enjoy the classes very much. The classes are a mix of technical moves ( punches, kicks, kata) but then also they do interesting ways to apply the moves with different activities. The instructions are very knowledgeable and years of experience and each instructor brings there own experience to the classes.

Karate teaches confidence, self-defense, discipline, fitness and builds character in a welcoming environment.

About The Empty Hand Family Karate Studio

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
For the past few years we have had a very successful youth competition team. Our youth kata teams have traveled extensively (California, Arizona, Ohio, Alaska, etc.) and were the 2012, 2014 and 2015 ISKF National youth team kata champions. We've also had several recent 1st place finishes for both our youth and adult competitors in both regional and national competitions. One of our instructors was honored at our Nationals in Alaska as the 2014 outstanding female competitor. Another of our instructors was recently honored as the outstanding female competitor at our East Coast Championships. Beyond that, we just enjoy sharing our art with our friends and neighbors!
