The Little Chalet's 2015 premiere makes it a relative newcomer to South Florida, but the restaurant's history dates back much farther—nearly 40 years. The family-owned eatery began in 1979 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil under the Marcellini Family. Originally a furniture and gift shop by day and piano bar by night, the spot transformed into Chalezinho—Portuguese for "The Little Chalet"—a cozy restaurant specializing in traditional Swiss-style fondue. The Little Chalet has since expanded, setting up shop in South Florida, and the new restaurant is as warm and welcoming as the original, treating guests to the same familial hospitality, rich flavors, and live piano that came to characterize Chalezinho all those years ago.

Although The Little Chalet's menu focuses on signature fondues like the Swiss Alps Original, the Royal Chalet, and the Lindt chocolate it also features steaks, seafood, and European-inspired dishes such as octopus risotto with chorizo, veal ossobuco, pappardelle & short ribs, and Parmesan Reggiano alfredo.
