The designers behind these games draw inspiration from some of Hollywood's most exciting stories, and if planning a heist isn't your style, here are two other options:

• Shenandoah Redemption: This game features a prison that would rival Alcatraz and a warden that, for some reason, really doesn't want inmates to escape. Groups of 2–10 do their best to disappoint him, as they work their way through multiple cells filled with puzzles.
• Presidential Treasure: You're inside Abraham Lincoln's Oval Office. Clues from Union generals are hidden in the room, which incorporates true-to-life elements from American history (with a few twists, of course).
