George Orwell famously wrote about winemaking, "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stomping on a grape's face—forever." Have fun proving him right with today’s grape-smashing Groupon to Tigard Wine Crafters. Tigard Wine Crafters lets people create their own bottles of vino. You'll brew a batch (12 bottles) of peach Chardonnay, old vine Zinfandel, or Riesling. Once you've perfected your fermented formulation, you'll design and slap on a label, giving the bottle an artistic touch befitting its taste or a bold sign declaring it the only wine made from grapes.

About Tigard Wine Crafters
The staff at Tigard Wine Crafters doesn't expect that visitors will know exactly what kind of wine they'd like to make when they set foot in the door. For that reason, they encourage people to sip samples of final products before beginning the process. Once visitors have chosen their varietal, one of the resident wine sages walks them through the steps to crafting a batch of wine, which will yield anywhere from 12 to 30 bottles. Customers then return to the shop 8 to 10 weeks later when the wine has matured to bottle and cork their creations before personalizing labels with their names or with a tailored warning to freeloading roommates.
