In 1997, Touch of Paradise founder Rob Palaski was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a rare degenerative eye condition that left him visually impaired. It was a blessing in disguise. His diminished sight allowed for greater sensitivity in his hands and the heightened ability to suss out muscular pain. Now in the comfort of his private studio, Rob can ease tension with flowing Swedish strokes and acupressure or wrangle lower-layer aches with his signature deep-tissue techniques.
