Catherine Bryant is a one lady show. She asks that you go onto her website to request an appointment, about 2 weeks out. We had a difficult time finally figuring out a time that would work, but she did have a nice spa ambiance in the room she rents, and gives a good massage. I was a little irritated with the format for scheduling the massage, but would have been more patient had I known she was a full time nurse working night shifts. She's shifting her practice to sports massage soon.

Like music, massage has charms to soothe the savage beast, unless that beast is scaled, fiercely territorial, and doesn't like the flashing lights on your beast-massaging helmet. Soothe your own savage back with today's Groupon: for $32, you get a one-hour massage (a $65 value) at Two Lily Massage in Gig Harbor. Licensed massage therapist Catherine Bryant tailors her treatments to each client's back-half bugaboos by drawing on her background in injury treatment and management. Her style blends a soothing Swedish massage with muscle-relaxing, myofascial-release therapy, which targets trigger points that cause pain and frowny-face emoticons. Catherine attunes her hands to the complaints of your soul-sack, aiming to relax body, mind, and cantankerous inner grandpas. Advance appointments are required.
