The America's Escape Game is my favorite place to go for escape rooms. I've done 5 of them, and this time we did Murdering Heights (the drop down above is only giving me Asylum as an option, but it was MH that we did). It was my son's 12th birthday. He and his friends had a blast! They couldn't stop talking about how much fun (and scary) it was. They can't wait to come back and do another one. Thank you to all the staff for making my son's special day so memorable! YOU ROCK!!

A suspicious fire engulfed the Oakridge Lunatic Asylum. 5 patients under the care of Dr. Rutger were presumed killed, but their bodies were never recovered. Dr. Rutger's late wife Helen made a death-bed confession - her husband had a special room where he performed his darkest and unspeakable works... Navigate the madness in the remains of the Oakridge Lunatic Asylum and solve the case - if you can. Your mission will be to enter the remains of the asylum and unlock the secrets of Dr. Rutger's horrifying deeds

Whenever I travel with my students for our competitions we plan an escape room as an activity so I have been to many in a lot of different states. The Asylum was a decent experience. The clues were pretty challenging Employees seemed super friendly too! Some cons about the room that I hope the owners take for constructive criticism…. The place is a bit run down. Bathroom a bit yucky, the clues were worn and torn, some clues didn’t really help in progressing to the next one, in some of the puzzles you knew the answer before solving because people have touched it so many times, even the signs you hold at the end are worn. Definitely needs a little TLC. The employees also communicate with you through walkie talkie and they are very hard to hear, need to get better audio. They also would say things when we didn’t ask for hints (which for us wasn’t a bad thing! lol), the room was so dark that 3 flashlights just isn’t enough if you have more than 3 people. If you didn’t have a light and people were spread out it was too dark to contribute.

If you are a beginner start with an easier one. We had a lot of laughs. Staff was amazing and had patience with us and helpful. We are going back next year to try another.
