Our guide was very informative and she made the stories gripping. The walk was not too strenuous and lit up enough to feel safe.

We visited Philadelphia at night with a guide dressed in a large black cape and carrying a lantern. This is another way to discover the monuments and history of this city: for each place the storyteller first gives the historical explanations, then tells a ghost story. In front of a cemetery the storyteller invites us to take a photo with flash to try to find the "white lady" of her story: cf.photo I saw a black figure kneeling in front of a grave!! In reality, zooming in reveals that it is the shadow of a tombstone. The atmosphere (evening, dimmed lights, less people) plunges us into an imaginary!! Our 11- and 14-year-olds weren't afraid, it's family-friendly.

Lots of walking over uneven surfaces. But our guide was enthusiastic in her story telling and flexible to accommodate to guest questions and comments.
