We did the Grant Lake Kayak and Hike Tour with Jen and Ruby as our guides. Now this is Alaska.. Just us, Jen and Ruby, beautiful mountains and an off the beaten path mountain lake. This was the first day of relaxation with no people or gift shops. We thought we were the only people in Alaska that day. We began with a nice paddle to the “Original” Iditarod sled dog trail which we hiked to our back country lake where more kayaks were waiting. From there we paddled across a crystal clear lake to view a glacier waterfall close up while the sounds of loons serenaded us along the way. If you want to see Alaska, the way the gold miners saw it, this is your adventure.

Discover an unforgettable adventure near Seward, Alaska, with the Moose Pass Kayak & Hike Express to Grant Lake. In just 4 hours, enjoy a 1-mile paddle on Upper Trail Lake, surrounded by the stunning Chugach Mountains, followed by a 1-mile hike to the pristine shores of Grant Lake.
