Joel made our Greenwich Village ghost tour an absolute highlight. From the first stop, he had the perfect mix of spooky storytelling, local history, and genuine humor—so it never felt “scripted,” it felt like wandering the Village with a friend who happens to know everything.
He’s incredibly knowledgeable (the kind of guide who answers questions with extra fun details instead of rushing you along), and he kept the group engaged the whole time with tons of personality and great pacing. Even if you think you “know” Greenwich Village, Joel adds layers—hidden corners, eerie backstories, and those little neighborhood facts you’d never catch on your own.

This was such an amazing way to see the city. The stories were great and our guide told them so so well. I learned so much and saw so many amazing things we’d never have seen. Can’t recommend enough. It is a bit of a walk so bring the good shoes.
