I Proposed. The Dude Walked Up. The Vows Abided. (A Very Lebowski Vow Renewal Review) To celebrate 25 years of marriage, we wanted something that felt like us: a little weird, a lot of fun, and deeply meaningful in a totally nontraditional way. So we renewed our vows in true Big Lebowski style—right there by the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. The moment that sealed it? Just as I dropped to one knee to re-propose to my husband (because, after 25 years, why not flip the script?), our officiant walked up behind me… wearing The Sweater His sweater. The Dude’s sweater. It was like the universe sent us a cosmic wink—and we absolutely lost it. Our officiant was a total legend—chill, witty, and completely immersed in the Lebowski universe. He came with props, the attitude, and the wisdom of a man who’s seen some things (mostly from a bowling alley lounge). The vows were beautifully ridiculous: We promised to abide. To never roll on Shabbos. To respect the sanctity of each other’s rug—even though we didn’t bring one. (He still made sure it was mentioned. The rug’s presence was felt.) There was a coffee can of “ashes,” a few well-timed movie quotes, and a photo shoot that captured every moment of blissful, absurd joy. My cousin even jumped in for a mock wedding of her own because… Vegas. Final review: Our love abides. The Dude arrived on cue. I proposed. He said yes (again). And even without a rug, it all tied together perfectly. 11/10. Would propose again.

We were in Las Vegas for a getaway and decided to renew our wedding vows. After realizing that the various chapel vowel renewal options were not what we were looking for, we thankfully found The Wedding King of Las Vegas and were excited that he had a Big Lebowski option where we would be officiated by The Dude! The booking was smooth and he (Kevin, aka The Dude) was able to accommodate our preferred date with only a couple days’ notice. He was very responsive to our questions and working out the best time to schedule. The day of the “ceremony” was amazing. He was on time and showed up with someone to assist with taking photos. He had a lot of props for a full photo shoot, and we got a signed certificate on the spot. He brought a speaker that has a phone holder so we could video the entire event, so we have both our video and the more-professional photos he sent to us about a week after the ceremony. He had prepared Lebowski-themed renewal vows and music. This booking far exceeded our expectations, and we were very happy with the experience! This service was the perfect mix of ceremony, feeling special, and having fun with it. Kevin was very friendly, helpful, and considerate and made us feel at ease throughout the event. It’s definitely a great alternative to chapel ceremonies! For future customers, some helpful hints: we brought our own flowers to hold, but he did have a clip-on veil available. We did a 7am ceremony, which was helpful in terms of temperatures and crowds at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign.

Awesome experience 10 out of 10 would recommend a very first time visiting Vegas. This was our first planned outing. We did the vow or renewal at the welcome to Vegas. Sign big Lebowski themed. They were very accommodating took several awesome photos and character was spot on.
