Palumbo has worked hard for this kind of success. He’s sheared locks in Fairfield for more than 30 years, working his way up from salon assistant to owner of a salon that made Beauty Entertainment magazine’s Hot 100 Salons in America. There, in a sprawling space with high ceilings and black-and-white photographs, Palumbo and his team treat hair to precision cuts, adding colors that range from golden blond to the red of a fire engine that’s just been kissed. They also transform hair texture with treatments such as thermal relaxers and Coppola keratin hair straightening.
