Donations fund a week’s worth of groceries to help ease the financial burden for families experiencing a medical crisis or recent death

The Issue: Financial Issues Sparked by Sudden Crises

When a family experiences a unexpected crisis, such as an illness or death, the resulting turmoil can affect every facet of their lives, making everyday tasks such as purchasing groceries overwhelming and financially difficult. Receiving assistance to satisfy their basic needs can help reduce these families’ financial burdens, allowing them to better cope with the crisis at hand.

The Campaign: Funding Groceries for Families in Need

If 30 people donate $10 to this Grassroots campaign, then Westchase Charitable Foundation can fund a week’s worth of groceries for four families facing an illness or tragedy. Each additional $75 raised will fund a week’s worth of groceries for another family. Having a supply of nutritious groceries at home can help reduce families’ overall stress while they cope with a tragedy.
