Since its founding in 1998, World Karate has been dedicated to training students of all ages to the black-belt level. Two karate programs introduce children to the basic techniques of its ancient self-defense form, in part through drills designed to develop gross motor skills and discipline. Alternatively, the cardio kickboxing program throws adults into a regimen of weight training, plyometrics, and circuit training designed to improve fitness while introducing striking techniques. Instructors oversee groups of adults and teens alike in the comprehensive martial-arts program, which puts equal emphasis on self-defense and regular goal setting.
