What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is an FDA-approved medication for weight management as of 2021. It is administered as a once-weekly Program subcutaneously, with a gradual dose increase over several weeks. It belongs to a class of medications known as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, or GLP-1 agonists. It mimics the GLP-1 hormone produced in the gut in response to eating. This mechanism signals the brain resulting in powerful appetite suppression. It also regulates insulin and blood glucose levels, resulting in excellent glycemic control.

- Gastrointestinal issues - diarrhea, constipation, bloating
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Nausea
- Vomiting
