GROUPON CUSTOMER REVIEW POLICY

At Groupon, we value your feedback and encourage you to share your experiences! Your reviews help other customers make informed decisions and help our merchants improve their offerings.

While we encourage open and honest feedback, we do have a few guidelines to ensure our review section remains helpful, respectful, and safe for everyone. This guide is based on and supplements the broader terms outlined in Groupon's Terms of Use, particularly sections governing user-submitted content and general site usage. 

What to Avoid When Submitting Reviews (Prohibited Activities):

To keep our platform fair and useful, please do not submit reviews or any other content that:

  • Is defamatory
  • Includes personal information about yourself or others, unless we specifically ask for it.
  • Contains harmful software like viruses or malware.
  • Offers unauthorized downloads of copyrighted, confidential, or private materials.
  • Pretends to be someone else.
  • Shares messages from Groupon employees who aren't authorised to speak on behalf of the company, or shares confidential information about Groupon.
  • Contains chain letters or similar requests.
  • Is intentionally inaccurate, fraudulent, fake or falsifies information (for example: creating multiple accounts to submit reviews in order to increase or decrease the overall rating; stating in a review that a product or merchant met expectations when in fact it did not; or reviewing products you didn't buy or merchants you didn't purchase vouchers for).
  • Uses content that is protected by copyright, trade mark, or other ownership rights without the express permission of the owner.
  • Is otherwise unlawful

Important to Know:

  • Our Right to Manage Content: Groupon can, at its sole discretion, remove any content or reviews that violate these guidelines or our overall Terms of Use. We also reserve the right to deny service or terminate accounts for such violations.  This includes ceasing to work with merchants who submit fake reviews to increase their overall rating or decrease the overall rating of their competitors.
  • Your Account Responsibility: You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Unsolicited Feedback: If you send us any feedback or materials, please be aware that Groupon is not obligated to review them, keep them confidential, or pay you for them. We may use and share such materials for any purpose without restriction.
