Your unique personal referral link is included in your You+Two email invitation, as well as in the confirmation email you receive after each Groupon purchase. You can also find it the pop-up window which appears immediately after you buy a Groupon.
You +Two is a special invite-only program being offered to reward specially selected Groupon customers (“Offer”). If you have received an invitation from us to participate, you are eligible!
If you are one of our invited customers, during the Offer Period, when you purchase a deal on Groupon.com, we will send you a unique referral link (“link”) to share with friends, family, and co-workers. Post your link on Twitter, put it on your Facebook page, and email it to whomever you like. If two of your friends click your link and purchase the same deal you bought, you will earn Groupon Bucks equal to the price of that deal!

Sure. Let's say you browse Groupon.com and find a $15 deal for a Chinese restaurant downtown. You purchase the deal using your credit card, any Groupon Bucks you have in your account, or a combination of the two. Shortly after that, we'll email you confirming your purchase of the deal. This email will include a unique referral link that identifies you and the deal you just bought. You share your link with friends - let's say you Tweet it, post it to your Facebook account and email it to a few friends. If at least two of those people click the link -- that's really important, they have to click your link -- and buy that same deal for the Chinese place, we'll reward you with $15 Groupon Bucks (to cover the $15 cost of the deal). It's really that simple!
At this time, You+Two is by invitation only. The only way to earn Groupon Bucks under this Offer is by using your own, unique referral link. It does not matter if the friends you share your link with are invited to participate in the Offer or not, you still earn Groupon Bucks. If one of your friends who has not been invited to participate in the Offer sends your link on to another person and that person buys the same deal, you will earn Groupon Bucks, but your friend can not personally earn Groupon Bucks. If you share your link with someone not yet subscribed to receive Groupon daily deal e-mails, you may receive Groupon Bucks if that person buys the same deal you bought under the Offer and you could earn $10 Groupon Bucks under our Refer-A-Friend program.
Sure! Even if your friend hasn't signed up for Groupon, you can still share your unique link with them and be eligible for Groupon Bucks via the You+Two Offer. Best of all, once they make a purchase, you'll earn another $10 Groupon Bucks as a bonus under our Refer-A-Friend program!
Yes - your personalized link gives us the ability to figure out when you're eligible to receive a credit in Groupon Bucks for the amount you paid for the deal (once your two friends have also purchased the deal). Without this link, we won't be able to track the purchases, and you won't be able to get the Bucks you deserve!
Nope! You can earn Groupon Bucks for every unique deal you buy, provided two of your friends also buy that deal through your unique link. Say you buy seven different deals in as many days, and at least two of your pals do, too - you're probably looking at tons of Groupon Bucks heading your way.
Yes, in order to earn Groupon Bucks under the Offer, your friends much purchase a deal having exactly the same details as the deal you purchased. Sometimes Groupon offers deals for one merchant with different prices, dates, locations, etc. Your friends must purchase the same deal - same price, same date, same location - you get the idea! For example, Groupon might offer a deal for concert tickets for a Friday or Saturday – if you purchase tickets for the concert on Friday, your friends must also buy tickets for Friday in order for you to earn Groupon Bucks under the Offer.
The You+Two Offer is a limited-time incentive program beginning 3/1/11, 12:01 AM ET and ending 6/30/11, 11:59 PM PT (“Offer Period”) unless otherwise earlier terminated or extended at our discretion. The Offer is valid for purchases made on Groupon.com by U.S. and Canadian customers invited by Groupon only. The Offer does not limit the quantity of Groupon Bucks and all deals are eligible. Groupon reserves the right to withdraw any invitation for suspected manipulations, the creation of duplicate accounts for the same individual or for any reason in its sole discretion. All Groupon Bucks earned under the Offer are subject to review and verification by Groupon. Groupon reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to adjust any customer’s account status due to computer error, machine malfunction, employee, customer or other error, fraud or other misuse of Groupon Bucks, the You+Two Offer or any other feature of the Groupon.com website. All decisions of Groupon with respect to the issuance, deduction, adjustment or use of Groupon Bucks shall be final and binding. Groupon reserves the right to modify these terms or FAQs at any time, for any reason, without notice. Participation in the Offer and use of the Groupon Site are also subject to the Groupon Terms of Service.
If you or anyone you refer returns or cancels the purchase, any Groupon Bucks awarded under You+Two may be subject to cancellation at any time.
You'll earn Groupon Bucks, equal to the price you paid for a deal, once two of your friends buy the same deal as you (provided they bought it after clicking the link you sent them). There are no additional Groupon Bucks issued if more than two of your friends buy that deal (although you'll still be able to enjoy your city with more friends!).
Let's say you and a friend both bought the same deal, but your friend purchased his Groupon before you purchased yours. In this case, your friend will not count toward the two friends you'll need to buy the deal in order to earn your Groupon Bucks.
Because each deal has a time limit attached to it, your friends much purchase the deal before the time limit on that deal expires. Most deals expire that same day but others are valid for several days.
Yep! Provided you and at least two friends buy the same deal, it makes no difference whether you/your friends used Groupon Bucks, credit cards, or a combination of both to purchase.
Each Groupon Buck equals one dollar and is considered a credit. Once you have any amount of Groupon Bucks in your account, your Groupon Bucks will be applied automatically to your next purchase of a Groupon deal. It's as simple as that.
For example, if you have $10 in Groupon Bucks and the deal you want is $20, you'll end up paying only $10 with your credit card. On the other hand, if you apply the same Groupon Bucks to a deal that's only $3, your remaining $7 Bucks will be applied to a future purchase automatically.
You can earn Bucks in a handful of other ways. For example, if you refer a friend to Groupon and they make a purchase, you'll get $10 Groupon Bucks. We also send out offers to select groups of our best customers from time to time which include offers for Groupon Bucks.
You can check your Groupon Bucks balance in the "My Gifts" section under the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of your screen.
Nope. Any unused Groupon Bucks will stay in your account and will be applied automatically toward your next Groupon purchase.
Definitely. They'll be applied at checkout in the same way as if you were purchasing a Groupon deal on your computer.
