Instructors tutor ladies of all fitness levels in basics of pole dancing, including spins & floor work that build strength & flexibility

Pole dancing offers a pole-based exercise more effective than 1920s pole sitting, more energizing than pole vaulting, and more sensual than polenta. Shimmy up a cornstalk with today’s Groupon to Aradia Fitness. Choose from the following options:

  • For $35, you get one intro-to-pole dancing teaser class (a $25 value) and five drop-in fitness classes (a $15 value each) at the Oakville location (a $113 value, including HST).

The instructors at Aradia Fitness maintain a nurturing environment where women of all abilities can boost confidence and attain their fitness goals through full-body pole-dancing workouts. During the intro teaser class, newcomers get acquainted with pole-dancing basics as instructors demonstrate moves ladies will learn in future classes. Damsels then continue into beginning level classes, plying fundamentals through floor work and spins that build strength, flexibility, and endurance. Both locations offer chair fitness classes, during which instructors guide students through chair-dance sequences using hand weights and individual body resistance to sculpt muscles into canon-defining works of art, and the Oakville location offers Zumba classes, which inspire accelerated heartbeats in tune with Latin rhythms. Check each location’s online schedule for class times and specific class availability.

Pole-dancing parties let up to 12 ladies celebrate a special occasion as instructors direct groups through simple spins and stripteases that build up to enticing routines. Groups of gals who want to focus more on socializing can opt for a party that emphasizes standing dance moves, lap dances, wall work, and pole work. Buyers may inquire about both studio and in-home hosting, as well as about switching to a chair-dancing or burlesque party. The only requirements for all classes are gym or yoga attire and bare feet to make the transformation into a gravity-defying butterfly.

Trying this class for the first time was a bit intimidating but the instructor made us feel comfortable and took us through the steps patiently. She moved forward at the same pace in which we were learning so we weren't doing the same moved repeatedly even after we had learned it. The only recommendation I would have for people trying it for the first time, is to call and make a reservation well in advance.

I actually went to the Queen St West one and had a negative experience there. (I already called Groupon Customer Service and recieved a full refund- thank you groupon!) to relay the experience but my instructor was 10 minutes late, the class was overbooked so my friend and I had to share a pole which did not allow us to fully participate. The class was only 30 minutes in length due to the delay and when my friends and I asked the instructor if we could attend another class due to all of the aforementioned factors, we were told we could not. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the actual class component of the experience and this is something I would like to try again. Thank you for your amazing customer service, Groupon!
