Though people who wear goggles in the bathtub rarely get soap in their eyes, they never see anything more exciting than baskets of decorative seashells and the faintest glimpse of dolphins gallivanting in the distance. Get a better aquatic view with today's Groupon to Biscayne National Underwater Park in Homestead. Choose between the following options:

• For $20, you get your choice of a Glass-Bottomed Boat Reef Adventure or a Snorkel Reef Adventure (up to a $45 value).
• For $12, you get a 90-minute double-kayak rental (a $25 value).

Biscayne National Underwater Park is a haven for all manners of opulent seafaring species. From the vantage point of a tandem kayak in the shallows of the Biscayne Bay, guests may observe upside-down jellies and huge schools of fish as they float through wild sea grasses. Or, dry-clean-only adventurers can explore watery ecosystems from the comfort of a glass-bottomed boat. Tune in to nature's nature channel each day at either 10 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. to embark on a boat tour that typically lasts 2.5–3 hours.

On the snorkel excursion, explore living coral reefs outside the barrier islands, with the possibility of swimming alongside sea life such as colorful fish and feral pool noodles. The outing includes a mask, snorkel, fins, and a flotation device (not a life preserver), and snorkelers can rent wetsuits for an additional $10 fee.

About Biscayne National Underwater Park

True to its name, more than 95% of Biscayne National Underwater Park is covered by water, resulting in a submerged, verdant landscape. In the shallows of Biscayne Bay, explorers can catch sight of waving fields of underwater grass as well as the occasional manatee, sea turtle, or wild submarine. Kayaks paddle out to the more than 30 islands dotting the park’s expanse, reaching destinations such as a 1930s lighthouse. Venturing out from the shore filled with lush mangrove forests, snorkelers dive into living reefs to see fish and turtles gluing the coral together.
