Wildlife Safari, an AZA-accredited park, boasts 600 acres inhabited by hundreds of free-roaming animals (some predators reside in their own enclosures). More than just grazing space, Wildlife Safari is one of the top cheetah breeders in the United States and works to protect endangered animal populations around the globe. During available 90-minute tours, guests can expect to encounter African, Asian, and American habitats ripe with wildlife. To boost beastly relations, guests can also visit the free petting zoo or get pampered by a pachyderm at Safari's famous elephant car wash ($20; advance-booking required).

ABC9 and BBC News featured Wildlife Safari's elephant car wash. TripAdvisors give Wildlife Safari 4.5 owl eyes and Yelpers give it four stars:

  • I've lived near Wildlife Safari now for two decades. The spark of Wildlife Safari hasn't worn out yet. It is a new experience each time we visit. The animals appear to be well taken care of and have plenty of acreage to roam and mingle. – TravelerfromOregon, TripAdvisor
  • We got really close to many animals and saw almost everything on their map. The elephant car wash was the highlight for me but my kids liked the petting zoo. – Sara G., Yelp

Wildlife Safari

The 600-acre park plays host to visitors who drive through the more than four miles of winding grounds to catch up-close glimpses of its inhabitants—over 550 wild animals from Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Bison, zebras, and giraffes roam the wide-open surroundings, living in harmony with tigers, lions, and bears. Founded by Frank Hart in 1972, the park has helped to protect endangered species while educating the public about them and their important roles in the fragile ecosystem. Visitors can make arrangements for private and personalized animal encounters as well as visit the safari village zoo, botanical gardens, and gift shop.
