Start your child's engaging journey into the world of music with Once Upon a Symphony featuring small-ensemble performances by members of the CSO accompanied by vivid storytelling, sets, costumes and images. When four farm animals are told they are no longer needed to work on the farm, they set off for the town of Bremen, where they dream of becoming musicians. Along the way they come upon a house full of robbers! The four friends quickly decide to work together to scare away the robbers, discovering that they each have courage that they didn't know they possessed.
Pre-concert activities begin 45 minutes before the performance in the Symphony Center Rotunda. Free to all ticket holders!

The Crown Family PlayLab at The Field Museum is hosting Sensory Saturdays, a sensory-friendly morning of hands-on exploration and discovery. We understand that some children may have specific sensory processing needs in order to have a great museum experience. So, we are opening the doors of the Crown Family PlayLab one hour early, from 9-10 am, to meet the needs of those families. Registration will be capped at 40 guests so that families can enjoy a crowd-free space. There will be tactile opportunities and sensory tools to help ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.
