Car payments, student loans, childcare—it all adds up pretty quickly, doesn't it? Sometimes it can seem like your paycheck can never stretch enough to cover it all, which is why money saving tips can be crucial. For many people, a big part of managing a budget and figuring out how to save money is knowing how to bargain hunt. Knowing where and how to look for good deals can not only save you a good chunk of change, but it can mean you won't have to sacrifice quality. But what are some of the best ways to save money? More specifically, are there just some items you should never pay full price for?
To find out, we turned to our customers, polling them on Facebook and directly asking: what's the one thing you'll never pay full price for? The results were a little surprising; while many people proudly boasted of rarely paying full price for anything and a handful of others listed a car (far fewer than expected, to be honest), the number one answer was clothing. So after collecting all of the comments, our editors organized them into these five money saving tips that'll help you re-stock your wardrobe without breaking the bank.

1. Buy out of season.
That means getting summer shorts and skirts as fall's chill sets and stocking up on sweaters when the flowers are in bloom.
2. Beware the dry-clean-only tag.
Remember to factor in the added cost of all that dry-cleaning, especially if it's an item you hope to wear regularly.
3. Opt for simple or classic pieces instead of trendy ones.
Trendy pieces are only fun until they go out of fashion or you realize they don't match the rest of your wardrobe. Classic pieces, on the other hand, are more likely to be a worthy investment.
4. Always make a list.
Approach clothes shopping the same way you would grocery shopping: if you have a list, you're less likely to get distracted by items you don't really want or need.
