6 Pics of Spring Nail Art We Love

BY: Colleen Loggins Loster | Apr 25, 2018

spring nail art

We've had a rough start to spring this year in the northern parts of the country, but it's finally time for fingers to come out of their gloved hiding spaces. Right now, the best manicures celebrate the first days of nice weather in months with cheerful spring nail art.

We hope this spring nail art gallery makes you feel as happy as the weather and inspires your next mani.

This is the springiest that nail art gets, and yet despite the fact that the word "spring" is literally spelled out, the homage to the season is still fairly subtle. That's because the letters hug the nails in such a way that it takes a few seconds to notice the word. And until that point, you're just admiring a whimsical abstract pattern.

Shop the look: Essie Worth the Wait ($8.99); Nanacoco 3-piece polish sets ($14.99 each); 20-piece nail art brush set ($8.90)

With its pale pink polish, white and yellow flowers, and muted olive leaves, this mani feels especially perfect for the overcast days of early spring.

Shop the look: Nanacoco 3-piece pink polish set ($14.99); OPI Need Sunglasses ($7.99); Zoya Envy ($8.29); Essie Blanc ($8.99); 20-piece nail art brush set ($8.90)

The most impressive thing about these nails isn't the gorgeous floral design, it's the fact that underneath lies natural nails. If you have the length, consider having your nail tech give you an almond shape and gel polish for an acrylic-like look with less hassle.

This dreamy manicure brings to mind a hazy sky on a late spring day that's on the precipice of summer. The soft blur of amethyst and blue is created with a makeup sponge. A strip of glitter along the nail bed adds a glam finishing touch.

Shop the look: Kleancolor 6-piece pastel nail polish set ($8.99); glitter nail-art powder ($8.99); 24 assorted makeup sponges ($9.95)

White nails are always on trend when the weather starts to warm up, and the feathers here make the mani feel even more seasonally appropriate. Though it's easiest to have a nail tech give you feathers, you can order nail decals (these are water) to DIY this look yourself.

Shop the look: Essie Blanc ($8.99); assorted nail-art sheets (from $5.99)

It wouldn't be spring without tulip nail art! With their abstract design and graphic pink, black, and white colors, these particular tulip nails are an updated version of a classic spring nail art design.

Shop the look: Essie Blanc and Spun in Luxe ($8.99 each); OPI No Doubt About It ($9.99); 20-piece nail art brush set ($8.90)
