Sam was super helpful when I went in early to register! Amy was the class instructor and she was wonderful!! I'm 18 weeks pregnant and she made sure I wasn't overworking my body and helped me with adjusting to the class. The class was awesome!!! It was definitely the best workout I've had in years. I'm sore in places I never knew could get sore, but I'm going back for more today!!!

Took few classes at their Santa Clara location. Their facility is super clean which is a good sign. The instructor Jan was super patient w/ me. Looks easy but I was soaked with sweat at the end of the class. It's a great work out and I'm glad I got to try it.

They are still learning. Although on their website they state they require you to be there 15 minutes early for a studio tour, don't count on them to follow through with this.

Although many of The Bar Method's exercises take place at the ballet bar, the program is only partially inspired by the long, lean musculature of ballet dancers. Created by Burr Leonard, the workouts also incorporate the brief, fat-burning bursts of activity known as interval training and the muscle-shaping techniques of isometrics. Combine all this with the science of physical therapy, and you get The Bar Method: an intense yet safely designed approach to exercise meant to cinch the silhouette, increase muscle definition, and boost energy all day long. Sessions introduce beginners to basics, such as maintaining good form and refraining from breaking out into Swan Lake choreography.
