Rocks may seem cold and indifferent, but they're secretly in love with rock climbers, whose anchors act as a welcome acupuncture treatment for tense cliffs and worn-out limestone walls. Romance a stone with today's Groupon: for $147, you get a two-day outdoor rock-climbing introduction class (a $295 value) with 360 Adventures. Customers can schedule their adventure on a variety of dates:

360 Adventures is an outdoors-oriented fun firm that encourages budding bouldermen to build their vertical strengths with two full days of introductory rock-climbing instruction. Regardless of past cliffhanging experience, customers at various skill levels can gather together in groups of no more than 25 climbers to enthusiastically grab granite, limestone, and basalt as the highly trained guides hurl them safely to higher heights. Each day will last between 7 to 8 hours, testing strength and willpower in the most entertaining manner. All necessary anchor gear and ropes are included in the package. In a scenic Sonoran Desert setting, novice climbers learn the basics of belaying, communication, gear care, climbing methods, and tying trustworthy guardian knots, which like the legendary Gordian Knot, will determine which member of the group gets to be King of Asia.

The highly trained guides from 360 Adventures share their students' appreciation for the outdoors and make an effort to turn what would otherwise be just another cliffside calculus quiz into an exciting, rock-roping experience. As you learn the secret to conquering the most imposing peaks, enjoy views of the surrounding landscape that frames each day in beautiful scenery, or gaze with threatening intent at the minute cracks and tiny protrusions that will yield to your summiting ambitions.

Scheduling is subject to weather conditions. Must be age 10 or older to climb. All climbers must sign a waiver; guests under age 18 must have parent signature. All participants must also complete an Assumption of Risk form.
