Learn the basics of fencing and prepare to start your journey toward success in this exciting sport. Each month we begin a new cycle of beginner fencing classes. The classes meet Saturdays from 12:30 - 2:00pm. We accept students ages 8 and over. If we have enough adults interested in a separate adult beginner class we can schedule a cycle for Mondays 6pm to 7pm, but all ages are welcome in the Saturday class. 

You will learn the basics of fencing footwork and blade work, and the basic rules for a fencing match. After four weeks, if the coach thinks you're ready to move on to our regular classes we'll provide you with the information to take your next steps in the sport. 

We'll provide loaner equipment, but you'll need to purchase a glove from us for $13.00. 

Our beginner class will focus on a single fencing discipline. Our club teaches all three disciplines - foil, sabre, and epee. Our primary coach is the only coach in the area to have a recent history producing Division I rated athletes in all three disciplines. We have had several youth and teen fencers amongst the top 100 in the country for their age categories, or amongst the top fencers in the region in their age categories.
