Isaac Newton formulated the laws of gravity only after a falling apple knocked him into a tube slide and sent him careening down Mount Blanc. Speculate on a new physical law thanks to today's Groupon: for $10, you get three hours of tubing, plus $3 off any OGO ride at Amesbury Sports Park (up to a $20 value), located in Amesbury, just 45 miles north of Boston. This deal is only valid for summer tubing, which runs Thursday through Sunday until September 5 (Saturdays and Sundays from Labor Day through the end of September), weather permitting.

Amesbury Sports Park sends tube-grapplers on an expeditious slide down its steep slopes, pushing obstinate bags of bones onto an exhilarating motion-ride, à la the tube-chase scenes in a Jean-Claude Van Damme action film. Ride the conveyor belt up to the zenith of Amesbury's grassy hilltop, then use physics' Law of Tube Slides to reach 40-mph speeds as you breeze toward the bottom. Those who wish to ride down the mountainous decline inside a plastic sphere can also get $3 off a ride in the OGO, or Outdoor Gravity Orb, a device used for zorbing. With the OGO, riders can live out their childhood dream of becoming a hotel magnate's personal billiard ball by being harnessed inside a plastic orb and pushed down the 800-foot hill. OGO rodeo riders can take the spherical jaunt freestyle with five gallons of water inside.

With Amesbury's standing-lift service, you can avoid steep trudging up the hill. So strap on a helmet, claim your inflated tubular device, and fill out your federal income taxes while breathtakingly zooming down a slide with today's Groupon.

Must be four years old to ride tubes; ages four to six must wear park-supplied helmets. Not valid for groups of 25 or more.

About Amesbury Sports Park

At Amesbury Sports Park, windswept passengers sail tubes down the snow-less summer lanes or, during winter, the powdery pathways of packed snow that dot hillsides of varying steepness. A conveyor belt swiftly returns them to the top of the hill in, where they can repeat the ride. During the summer, visitors can hop inside of one of Amesbury Sports Park's plastic spheres, to take what they call a zorb ride. Their outdoor event venue can accommodate up to 30,000 people, and has previously hosted events such as the Warrior Dash, the Spartan Race, and their annual Brewfest. An onsite restaurant refuels recreationers with tasty American fare, and also hosts regular wine dinners that often sell out in advance. The park also has a function hall available for private parties, and a full-service catering business with cuisine prepared by executive chef Kevin Jacques. New Hampshire beaches are located near the park so guests can soak up more sun and relaxation after their zorb ride or tubing.
