Similar to tickling a bear without losing an arm, the art of breathing underwater requires years of practice and dedication. Introduce your lungs to aqueous awareness with today’s Groupon: for $35, you get a PADI Discover Scuba Diving course at Annapolis Scuba Center on Jennifer Road in Annapolis ($135 value).
As a well established five-star rated PADI Instructional Development Center, Annapolis Scuba Center has provided a plethora of fins-on instruction and snugly fitting gear for nearly 20 years. After strapping on a provided underwater tuxedo, the center's PADI-certified scuba instructors and divemasters will lead students through the shallow waters of an indoor pool, acquainting them with the basics and equipment essential to exploring the ocean deep.
Once participants feel comfortable and have grown a rudimentary set of gills, they will go into the deep end for further teaching, where they'll learn more advanced aquatic maneuvers and ask common questions, such as why octopi always get stuck playing the xylophone in undersea musical numbers. Class sizes are limited to maintain an atmosphere of mask-to-mask attention, and all equipment, like most military provisions, is provided.
