Power Pole classes are geared toward fitness, using moves such as climbing and spinning to tone abs, arms, and thighs. Belly Dance class, on the other hand, definitely packs a fitness punch, but is focused on the art form.

While many martial arts classes claim to turn fists and feet into lethal weapons, ArtFit’s classes actually hand their students lethal weapons—namely, samurai swords. Samurai swordsmanship, or iaijutsu, is the dojo’s main focus. In classes, sensei teach the 450-year-old art, supplementing weapon wielding and empty-hand defense techniques with the culture, language, and history of the practice.
The course catalogue is more comprehensive than just swordplay, however, and the dojo pays respect to a host of other traditions. Adults and children can master all manner of arts martial, including karate, kickboxing, MMA, and defensive tactics for law enforcement. ArtFit recently introduced a diverse selection of dance classes as well. Though distinct in style, each class is rather high-energy. Students can get a high-impact leg workout in Can Can, tone muscles with hip-hop’s isometric movements, and increase upper body strength in aerial artiste sessions.
