Add spice to your fitness routine with today's Groupon to Baltimore Martial Arts Academy in Catonsville. Choose between the following options:
- For $30, you get five kettlebell classes (a $60 value).
- For $45, you get 10 kettlebell classes (a $99 value).
Certified strength and conditioning specialist Danyelle Berger co-owns Baltimore Martial Arts Academy and chisels human chassis with cast-iron kettlebells. The academy's Fast Burn 30 classes guide 30 minutes of sculpting slings that burn fat, tone muscle, strengthen hearts, and weaken the fat gremlins that sit on your shoulder whispering "donut." Students grasp handled cannonballs, which come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and swing them while singing Russian folk music. The swaying motion lays the foundation for core-challenging workouts, as students must constantly adapt to successfully annoy gravity. Within the hallowed 6,000-square-foot halls of Baltimore Martial Arts Academy, gray floors with padded mats support rows of kettlebells while red and blue punching bags hang from above. Locker rooms and a TV-equipped lounge await exhausted trainees after each lesson.

About Baltimore Martial Arts Academy
After winning a gold medal in the US National Kuoshu championships and fighting as a member of the US Kung Fu team, Gary Berger decided to bring his skills back stateside. Classes started small, but Gary slowly began attracting both students and instructors until his humble operation became the Baltimore Martial Arts Academy. Under Gary's direction, the center now offers an extensive martial arts curriculum in styles such as muay thai, kung fu, aikido, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Coach Gary cultivates an environment based on respect, hard work, and personal growth, where criticism is frowned upon and egos are checked at the door along with oversized suitcases. Gary’s wife Danyelle heads up instructions for the gym's fitness classes, which include kettlebell, and kickboxing. Between its many martial arts offerings and more general fitness classes, BMAA boasts a diverse student body, including athletes, casual exercisers looking to manage weight, and even children with physical or mental disabilities taking part in Coach Gary’s special needs classes.
