After 10 years in the 24-hour fitness business, Sadie Lincoln was ready to make a change. She branched out to start her very own workout method, inspired in equal parts by the Lotte Berk Method of ballet exercise, yoga, and Pilates. She combined the flowing sequences of Vinyasa yoga with isometric exercises using the ballet barre or Pilates poses, and called her creation Barre3.
The classes quickly caught fire, and Sadie transformed her lone studio into a successful franchise. At any of the locations, instructors lead 60-minute sessions that build flexibility and toned cores. Her techniques have earned her and her studio numerous national press accolades. Sadie also put together an online course—available in 60 countries—to give folks a chance to workout in the comfort of their own home or local library.
