About Basics Fitness Center

More than 20 years ago and in the exact same location, the folks behind Basics Fitness Center were running a gymnastics program for local youth. Today, the studio is home to an adult-oriented gym that focuses on—you guessed it—the basics of fitness. Here, trainers abide by a simple philosophy: great health is about exercising, yes, but it's also about creating better eating habits and establishing a healthier lifestyle.

Basics offers a spacious, clean, and truly inviting atmosphere where individuals of all ability levels feel comfortable and supported by our friendly, knowledgeable staff. Now in our 15th year, Basics has earned a respected name in the community by providing safe, individualized instruction to all of its members. Participants are introduced to the three main components of an exercise program: Cardiovascular Exercise, Strength Training, and Stretching

The club's extremely spacious interior is home to free weights, machines, and an airy studio that hosts group classes in yoga and tai chi. Members can also meet with nutrition specialists and personal trainers to set tangible goals such as "build muscle" and "step away from the candy."
