Spooky is the most neglected of the five basic human emotions: spooky, joy, sorrow, grouchy, and wet. Get horror glands pumping with today’s Groupon: for $35, you get two tickets to Blue Orb Tours's adults-only Midnight Zombies Tour (a $70 value). Tours meet at McDonough’s Pub on East McDonough Street.
Blue Orb's paranormal peregrinations are helmed by long-time professional spectre inspector Tobias McGriff, who boasts 20 years of preternatural investigative experience. The 18-and-older Midnight Zombies Tour is Blue Orb's most popular fright excursion, leading mature haunt hunters on a mile-long journey through the notoriously haunted Savannah streets and regaling anxious ears with stories of the weird, the ghastly, and the creepy spots where zombie congregate to watch college basketball. The two-hour circuit leisurely makes routine stops to investigate eerie sites and touches upon folkloric legends involving the shadow people, reverse exorcisms, morgue tunnels, and secret cemeteries.
The adults-only environment allows for an edgy, uncensored approach to ghostly anecdotes, divulging the most bloodcurdling details and creep-out components. The tour includes a stop at an Irish pub, and Savannah's open-container policy allows guests to purchase a spirited libation to bring along, giving timid tummies a dose of liquid courage and providing the only means of escaping the syntax-leaping ghost of William Faulkner. Tours depart at 11 p.m. nightly (check-in is 15 minutes prior to departure) and run as planned, rain or shine.

- I have never taken a tour that was as well researched and as concise and entertaining as this one. Its just the right amount of history, hauntings and science to explain the paranormal and is interwoven with things I never knew about Savannah. – jsmalls861, TripAdvisor
