Personal training is much more than detailed instruction on how to be an actual person. Bring relaxation and fitness goals to fruition with today's Groupon: for $99, you get six weeks of fitness boot camp or CrossFit training class (a $180 value each), one massage (a $60 value), and one personal-training session (a $65 value) at CrossFit Maximus (up to a $485 value). Customers may redeem this Groupon for six weeks of CrossFit, six weeks of boot camp, or six weeks of a combination of the two courses.
Under the careful tutelage of CrossFit's experienced trainers, fitness fiends will receive one 50-minute personal-training session, which lays the track for achieving optimal health. Trainees can further their physique during six weeks of boot camp, CrossFit training, or a combination of both courses. Boot-camp courses build bodies of all types and fitness levels into pinnacles of strength and endurance during intensive one-hour workouts. CrossFit training is designed to break the monotony of traditional iron-pumping with varied exercises, such as running, shoveling pudding out of pools, and refrigerator tossing. The gym atmosphere opts for human power instead of machines and guidance instead of free roaming. Once hamstrings start sending distress smoke signals, treat the burn with a one-hour massage that indulges the entire body and returns muscles to their default factory settings. CrossFit Maximus provides a break from parenting with childcare for wee ones ages six weeks to 12 years, available Monday–Friday from 8:15–11:00 a.m. and 3:45–7:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

About Crossfit Maximus
As a busy student at the University of Kentucky, Jordan Baker needed a quick and effective workout that he could squeeze into his demanding schedule of classes. That was how he discovered CrossFit—an innovative fitness program that involves an ever-changing tapestry of high-intensity workouts consisting of functional movements. Jordan Baker became so enamored with the exercise form, he went on to pursue a CrossFit instructor certification. Today, he's a coach at CrossFit Maximus.
With two locations in Lexington, a 7,000-square-foot facility at National and North Ashland Avenues, and the new location at East Vine and Rose Street, CrossFit Maximus boasts onsite massage centers, a childcare center for a nominal fee, CrossFit classes, and nutrition classes. During sessions, they draw from the gym’s arsenal of functional strength-training equipment, including free weights, medicine balls, and slack lines. Through group training and support, the team strives to create a communal atmosphere where everyone knows everybody's name and a supportive space where everyone refrains from menacingly whispering it in unison.
