The certified instructors at Tofino Surf School teach the beginner and intermediate techniques needed to master the art of wave riding during daily surfing lessons for students aged 12 and older. During each three-hour lesson, the expert wave wranglers transport pupils to and from a nearby beach, where the school supplies all requisite equipment and back-up batteries for powering the ocean’s wave machine. Beginner classes teach novice boarders the safety fundamentals needed to surf in the ocean and then send students paddling out into the water to cut across waves. The sessions have a one to five instructor to student ratio, allowing the pros to focus individually on each surfer. Intermediate group lessons take a maximum of five students into the aquatic playground to duck and dive.
