Zip lines originally were invented for just two functions: sneaking hamburgers over the Berlin Wall and zazzing up presidential entrances to State of the Union addresses. Glide gracefully with today's Groupon: for $20, you get a zip-line tour, including instruction, at Your Adventure Inc., located in DFW Adventure Park (up to a $55 value). This Groupon is valid Friday–Sunday only.
Through Your Adventure Inc., the Association of Challenge Course Technology-member DFW Adventure Park has been shepherding zip-line tours since 2002. Like secret agents impersonating monkeys, guests careen across zip lines ranging in length from 250–400 feet. Every air glider relishes zip tours across DFW's three courses, and each tour can take up to two hours. When not balking at gravity, guests can play pool, ping-pong, cards, and board games in the 2,400-square-foot game room, which adjoins the snack bar. Concessions can be purchased at an additional cost and include hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, candy, and sunflower seeds. Veteran zippers advise new guests to avoid wearing shorts and flip-flops on their day of adventure. Participants must be 10 years of age or older, and children 13 or younger should be accompanied by a protective android.
